If you have a large ecommerce website, you need to upload multiple items and all their relevant data - pricing, variants, custom fields, stock levels, etc. - very quickly and with total accuracy. The bulk spreadsheet template allows users to input the data for up to 100 items in a table and simply save the document ahead of uploading to the system, meaning that a high number of complete items can be added at one time.

Open the editor, click on Basket, and enter the Items section.
If needed, you can add a unique SKU code (Stock Keeping Unit) – this also must only contain alpha-numeric characters.
For price, do not insert any pound signs - just a number, such as 99.99.
For weight, if needed, enter the weight of the item in grams.
You can add different variants of the same item in this section. The Variant 1 option allows you to add different prices and stock levels for each variant in the fields to the right.
For example, as a clothes shop, a suitable variant to include in here would be size, enabling you to offer different prices and stock for each size.
Use Variant 2 to include a secondary factor that differentiates the item. For instance, you may offer the item in different colours or weights.
For more information on variants, take a look at our video on managing stock for item variants.
Add a total stock quantity here if you don’t manage stock for unique variants.
You can also add a couple of tags, which are additional pieces of information about an item.
Read this article for a full breakdown of tags and how to use them.
Only use this section to add images if you know their URL. Do not add image addresses from your computer. You can upload images for items at a later date.
Take a look at our video on bulk image management for a full breakdown on adding item images.
Custom fields allow you to add standard replicated information field names with different values.
Add these as names/value pairs (e.g. origin/China). Use as many pairs as you require.
Watch our video on custom fields to learn more about the subject.
Once you have finished adding data for your items, save the document in xls. or xlsx. format on your computer and return to the bulk spreadsheet upload section in the editor.
Your items have been successfully added to your website - all through just editing one spreadsheet and uploading.
