While Microsoft Internet Explorer still sits in pole position as lead browser, we’re all enjoying a choice of alternatives, all vying for a podium finish with the continuous development of great new functions and features. One such development is the new 3.5 version of Firefox from Mozilla. The new version, being described as a "major update, is said to boast a significant increase in performance over previous versions and offers new features including; upgraded Web technology, geolocation, privacy tools, and open video viewing. Apparently, it's more than twice the speed of Firefox 3 and ten times faster than version 2. An impressive claim, well worth testing!
Firefox 3.5 is available for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X, in over 70 languages.
The CEO of Mozilla – John Lilly says "So much is happening on the Web right now, it's a great time for browsers. Firefox 3.5 brings together the most innovative Web technologies and delivers them in the most complete and powerful modern browser,"
One of the most exciting new features is the Open Video and Audio. The new Open Video and Audio platform allows video and audio content to be played within the browser without the need for plug-ins. Firefox 3.5 comes with the first native integration directly into the browser. You can even right-click on videos and save them straight to your desktop or a folder, in the same way you would an image.
Firefox is following in the footsteps of technology pioneers such as Apple and its innovative iPhone by offering Location Aware Browsing. Location Aware Browsing allows websites to pinpoint your location. Firefox uses the W3C Geolocation application-programming interface (API), which works out your location by searching for nearby Wi-Fi access points. As a back up, it can look up your IP address and pinpoint your location using that information. Should you choose to allow it of course, Firefox can then use that information to find nearby points of interest and return additional, useful data like maps of your area. It’s very handy in that it saves you having to keep typing your address in repeatedly or if you are in a different location and don’t know the address
Before you panic, it's your choice - Firefox doesn't share your location without your permission. In fact, this version of Firefox is more focused on privacy than ever.
You can choose the new "private browsing" mode, from the tools menu, which ensures that nothing is stored during your browsing session by switching off the function of logging history, cookies, user names, and passwords. The function also closes all non private windows, which while eliminating the risk of entering private information in non-private windows, can be a bit time consuming, especially if you normally browse with several tabs open at one time. Its personal preference of course but it does beg for even further improvements in this area.
An added bonus feature offers help if you forget to select Private browsing and are of nervous disposition. Don’t’ panic, you can remove "every last trace" of a site with the "forget this site" feature. Finally, a little more reassurance for browsers!

These days, websites without background videos run the risk of appearing old-fashioned. Even dinosaurish,
There’s nothing wrong with dinosaurs, or with looking like one. Dinosaurs are cool. Unless they’re chasing you of course.
But our new background videos have landed, exploded and changed the game. They have wiped out the old standards for beautiful websites, and have replaced them with a new standard that will leave all other websites looking like fossils.
Luckily, both our existing clients and our new ones have access to this brilliant new feature we’ve introduced, and we’d like to share its benefits with you today.
A superhero is only super because he or she stands out amongst the crowd. If we were a planet of flying, teleporting, time-freezing super-strong aliens, then we wouldn’t think there was anything super about us. When it comes to using formatting methods such as bold, italics, capitals or centering, all of these little text-enhancing superheroes will only stand out if they are used sparingly, in the right place, and when absolutely necessary…
Reviews, testimonials, recommendations – we all seek reassurance in them. We might even skip past the good ones just to see if there are any bad ones.Other people are sources of information for us. They can tell us whether this product or service is actually any good or not. Reading their testimonials builds trust in your business.
